PSM PHotowalk 3
- @ Mylapore - 23 Aug 2009
Ganesh Chathurthi is a Hindu festival to celebrate the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the son of Shiva and Parvati. The festival lasts for 10 days. Ganesh, the elephant-headed son of Shiva and Parvati, is widely worshipped as the supreme god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.
Despite the pressures of the PSM Salon 2009, some of our members (including, for the first time, our Prez Isaac), went for a PhotoWalk around Mylapore to catch the Ganesh Chathurthi shopping. The group included, Hemantha Kumar, Isaac, Muhammed Riyas, Nashad Abdul, Narasimhan, Naseef Gafoor, OTR, Poochi Venkat, Ramesh, Samyak, Satya, Sridhar and Sujatha.
A good time was had by all as we captured images of freshly made idols of Ganesh and other items for the morning's puja.
The PhotoWalk ended with the participants enjoying a steaming cup of filter coffee at one of the traditional Mylapore restaurants.
